Red Velvet (2026)

Ashley, a teenage girl, is struggling after her estranged grandfather, Brian, moves in with her and her mother after years of no contact. He has not revealed the true reason for his sudden arrival until it is Ashley’s mother’s birthday and they clash over baking a red velvet cake.

Development.

The development of this project started in March 2026 for my filmmaking course at Nottingham Trent university. This project was my first ever time collaborating with other filmmakers as the director. The film took several months from initial conception to being screened for the first time. For this project I worked with long time collaborators, Lily Hardy and Jenna Saluja.
